Zyron Krupenia

Clinical Psychologist

Over the years Zyron has dealt with a wide range of people and problems using a compassionate and relatively egoless approach. He pays careful attention to the individual and attempts to put aside my own ego in order to understand and walk in the shoes of his clients.

The feedback he receives from clients is that they feel safe and comfortable with him. As a psychologist, he has moved from being "nondirective", to be more prepared to voice an opinion as to what people should or shouldn't do with their lives and their relationships. While this may go somewhat against the grain in psychology, he believes that his life experience and my over 30 years of professional experience gives him some insight and understanding on how to live life and work through the problems that life presents.

It seems to Zyron, that many of life's problems relate to relationships. He considers himself to have reasonable experience in the area of how people relate to each other, how they communicate with each other, and how they understand each other and how conflict is perpetuated or resolved between people.

Zyron, a Clinical Psychologist with more than 30 years' experience,  practices from the PsychPlace rooms. To make an appointment with Zyron, visit his website.

Alyssa Garrett

Clinical Psychologist

Alyssa has a warm and understanding attitude toward all people and works collaboratively with her clients to achieve their desired changes. She uses well-researched methods and pays particular attention to achieving and maintaining therapeutic goals.

Alyssa has a special interest in working with issues related to family of origin, as well as perinatal mental health.

Alyssa has a solid background in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and primarily practices Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy.

ACT essentially is about accepting the things that we cannot control, whilst committing to action that promotes a rich and meaningful life. As well as having a strong evidence base in the treatment of psychological problems, it also has an application to those seeking to improve their quality of life.

Schema Therapy is very helpful in addressing underlying patterns of thought, feeling and behaviour and involves working with childhood history.
